1- The Mountain of Deliverance: Ararat
This mountain is associated with the Ark of Noah, when this Ark rested on one of the peaks of Ararat.
This story reveals God’s faithfulness towards Noah, who obeyed God and built the Ark as God commanded him.So, Noah and all members of his family were saved from the flood, in addition to one pair of all kinds of animals and birds (male and female).

2- The Mountain of Testing: Moriah
This is the mountain where God tested Abraham’s faith and loyalty. God asked Abraham to take Isaac, his beloved son, and offer him as a holy sacrifice. God saved Isaac by a ram and blessed Abraham for his faithfulness.

3- The Mountain of the Ten commandments: Sinia
Sinia is the mountain where God gave the Law to His faithful prophet Moses, who saved his people out from Egypt.

4- The Mountain of Decision: Carmel
The importance of this mountain is associated with Elijah’s contest against the four hundred prophets of Baal in the days of Ahab the king. God answered Elijah’s prayer and His fire burned the sacrifice. Then the people shouted: “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!”

5- The Mountain of Temptation
This is a desolate place in the desert where Jesus, after forty days of fasting, was tempted by the devil. Jesus did not submit to Satan’s temptations, but defeated the devil in spite of all his tricks.

6- The Mountain of Beatitudes
This is the mountain where Jesus taught his disciples the basic Christian teachings, conduct and ethics. The Beatitudes are known as, “The Sermon on the Mount.”

7- The Mountain of Transfiguration: Hermon
This is the mountain where the Transfiguration of Jesus took place.
Jesus appeared in His heavenly glory to the three disciples: Peter, James and John, who accompanied Him to this mountain; and suddenly two prophets, Moses and Elijah, appeared in brightness and glory beside Jesus.

Golgotha (a skull) is the place where Jesus Christ was crucified to save us from our sins. And He, Jesus, is our redeemer.

This booklet describes the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven after His resurrection, in the presence of the disciples. It also tells about the command of Jesus to them to be His witnesses and to preach the Gospel to all nations.
